Since 2008, the Fondation Jean Lapointe offers Quebec adolescents an innovative addiction prevention tool through high schools and Quebec school boards.
According to the studies, young people are likely to be at risk. As psychoactive substances affect the still developing brains of adolescents, the consequences on their physical and mental health, academic performance and safety are important.
Since 2008, we have invested more than
$ 4,000,000 and met with more than 412,000 high school students to raise awareness about the risks associated with alcohol and drug use.
And it Works!
Since 2008, we have noticed a drop of 16.5% of young people with an addiction problem.
Let’s not give up!
If we want our young to be able to recognize the many pitfalls they may encounter during their teenage years, we have to provide them the right information.
